Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Develop, document, and execute functional and manual test plans, test cases, and scenarios; identify, track, and report software defects.
2. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Katalon, Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, and support integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
3. Perform API testing using Postman and similar tools to validate RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices, including functionality, integration, and endpoint coverage.
4. Conduct database testing, analyze test results, prepare testing documentation and reports, and collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to improve software quality.
    

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience	5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with hands-on experience in functional, automation, API, and database testing.
Technical Skills	Functional/Manual Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, Katalon, Postman, Selenium, SQL/Database Testing, CI/CD
Business / Domain Skills	Quality Assurance, SDLC, Test Planning, Defect Management, Test Documentation, Agile Development
Communication	Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation	Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization	Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, microservices, and API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior QA professionals.
