Job Summary

• We are seeking a QA Engineer specializing in Performance and Load Testing to design, execute, and analyze performance tests across modern application architectures.
• This role will focus on validating system scalability, reliability, responsiveness, and stability under varying levels of traffic and workload.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience with HTTP/API testing, event-driven systems, WebSocket traffic, performance metrics, and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability test scenarios for web applications and distributed systems.
• Develop performance test plans covering HTTP/REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and WebSocket traffic.
• Generate realistic workloads that simulate concurrent users, API requests, events, and persistent connections.
• Analyze key performance indicators including response time, latency percentiles (P50/P90/P95/P99), throughput, error rates, resource utilization, and connection behavior.
• Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
• Establish performance baselines and compare results across builds, releases, and environments.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to investigate and resolve performance issues.
• Monitor system behavior under increasing loads and identify scalability limits and capacity constraints.
• Create detailed performance test reports documenting test conditions, findings, bottlenecks, and recommendations.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot failed or degraded performance tests and determine whether issues originate from application code, dependencies, databases, networking, or infrastructure.
• Maintain and improve automated performance-testing frameworks and reusable test scenarios.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 + years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in QA, software testing, or performance engineering.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, Web Sockets, TCP/IP, and distributed systems.
• Experience with performance/load-testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust, or LoadRunner.
• Proficiency in analyzing latency, throughput, error rates, concurrency, and system resource utilization.
• Experience troubleshooting and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL for performance analysis.
• Understanding of cloud environments and modern application architectures such as microservices and containerized systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
