Senior QA Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will help drive automation strategy, framework development, and quality assurance efforts for digital sales, service, and transactional applications supporting the Property & Casualty Insurance business. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright, CI/CD practices, and modern automation frameworks. Experience applying Generative AI and Agentic AI to software testing is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks and UI test suites using Java, Selenium, and Playwright
• Develop and automate REST and SOAP API test scenarios
• Create and maintain performance and load test suites using JMeter and related tools
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Manage test data and perform root-cause analysis of defects
• Collaborate with development, product, and business teams
• Leverage Generative AI and evaluate Agentic AI solutions for test design, maintenance, traceability, and quality intelligence
• Mentor junior team members and support quality engineering initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of software quality assurance and automation experience
• 3+ years building automation frameworks using Java and Selenium
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright
• Strong Java skills and working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Git, SQL, REST, SOAP, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Property & Casualty Insurance experience
• Mobile automation using Appium or Espresso
• Experience with Selenium Grid, cloud execution, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS
• Generative AI-assisted test creation and maintenance
• Agentic AI workflows for autonomous testing
• AI-driven traceability, self-healing automation, and test optimization

Success Measures:

• Increase automation coverage, improve execution speed, reduce maintenance effort, strengthen CI/CD quality gates, and advance adoption of modern automation and AI-assisted testing practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
