JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office of Policy Procedures and Training provides social service policy and procedure interpretation and document development for numerous social service programs and benefits, including, but not limited to Cash Assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Homeless Services, Medicaid, and Adult Protective Services. Policy and procedures documents and forms are developed and communicated by the various Program Areas using forms and document development technology and communications systems, meeting standards required to implement social service according to government and legal mandates.
Tasks & Duties
- Assist in developing system design specifications
- Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
- Develops specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
- Develops structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
- Develops, compiles, maintains and documents configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
- Assist in developing system documentation
- Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
- Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
- Develop detailed systems operations designs.
- Assist in performing system design/application development
- Work with ITS staff (e.g., managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan programming language implementation, enhancements and changes.
- Create, test and maintain program applications
- Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
- Serves as a liaison with ITS in a BA type role to support staff and resolve issues
- Provide general programming assistance to other ITS programmers/projects as may be needed.
- Assist in performing testing/evaluation
- Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.
- Develops, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards.
- Auditing of implemented programs for quality control.
