SAP Business Analyst Cash Applications

Technical Skills

• Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Cash Applications, SAP FI-AR, or FSCM processes.
• Solid understanding of cash application processes: lockbox, EFT/ACH, remittance matching, auto-cash rules, and suspense/unapplied cash handling.
• Working knowledge of CARC codes, EDI 835/ERA remittance processing, and their impact on payment application and AR reconciliation.
• Experience with at least one SAP implementation or enhancement project involving cash application or AR automation.
• Experience writing functional specs, test scripts, and process documentation.
• Strong experience with SIT/UAT testing cycles and defect management.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around reconciliation and exception analysis.
