Fullstack Software Engineer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Remote)
Duration: 3 month contract with potieal for extensions
Role Overview
An experienced Full Stack Developer is sought to support the modernization and redesign of a critical enrollment platform. This initiative will involve converting an existing enrollment application and associated administrative tools into a modern React/Next.js architecture while maintaining and enhancing backend functionality built on C#/.NET and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience modernizing legacy applications and working across both front-end and back-end technologies.
Key Responsibilities

• Convert an existing enrollment platform to a modern React/Next.js architecture.
• Design and build responsive, user-friendly front-end experiences.
• Modernize and enhance back-office administrative functionality.
• Develop and maintain backend services using C#/.NET.
• Build and optimize SQL Server database integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Create scalable, maintainable, and secure application components.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to development best practices.

Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of full-stack software development experience is required. This must include experience modernizing, refactoring, or migrating legacy applications. Work authorization as a is also required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with React.js, Next.js, C#, .NET, and SQL Server is required. Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience converting legacy .NET applications to React/Next.js.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise portals, membership platforms, CRM systems, or registration applications.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
