Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Business Analyst with 1–2 years of experience to support business and technology initiatives. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, QA teams, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements, analyze business processes, document functional needs, and support project delivery.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and communication skills, along with hands-on knowledge of SQL, Excel, requirements gathering, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and objectives.
Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and business process analysis.
Collaborate with developers, QA, project managers, and business teams throughout the SDLC.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Use SQL and Excel for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test-case preparation, execution, and defect tracking.
Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
Maintain project documentation and requirement traceability.
Assist in identifying process improvements and recommending practical solutions.
Communicate project updates, requirements, issues, and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills
1–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with requirements gathering and documentation.
Good knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with both technical and business teams.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Jira and Confluence.
Microsoft Visio or similar process-mapping tools.
Power BI or Tableau.
UAT and defect-management experience.
Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations.
Data analysis and reporting experience.
Experience working in Agile project environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Work Authorization
Candidates with ship, , OPT or STEM OPT EAD may be considered, subject to employer requirements and applicable work-authorization rules.
