Senior Ansible Automation Engineer / DevOps Test Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer (Test Lead) with strong expertise in Ansible, Jenkins, Python, and Linux automation. The ideal candidate will automate production maintenance, patching, software deployments, system restarts, validation, and recovery workflows to ensure safe, repeatable, and auditable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.

• Automate traffic draining, server maintenance, patching, IPL/restart, and software deployment processes.

• Integrate proxy controls with infrastructure maintenance and release workflows.

• Develop pre-checks, post-checks, health validations, rollback procedures, and manual fallback mechanisms.

• Integrate automation workflows with Jenkins and enterprise CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement Git-based version control, testing, approval workflows, access controls, and audit standards.

• Develop operational runbooks that Business Operations (BizOps) teams can execute safely.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, network, and operations teams to improve production stability.

Required Skills

• Advanced hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).

• Strong experience with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD orchestration tools.

• Proficiency in Python and Linux/Unix scripting.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git workflows, and API integrations.

• Experience automating production maintenance, patching, deployment, and recovery procedures.

• Understanding of change management, operational controls, and production support processes.
