Job Title: Enterprise Network Systems AdministratorLocation: Downey, CA 90242
Duration: 12 Months with Possible Extension
Work Schedule: Hybrid after 4–8 weeks of onsite training
Work Environment: 24/7 Enterprise IT Operations
Shift: Morning, Swing, or Graveyard — candidates must be flexible to work different shifts
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Systems Administrator (ENSA) to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for network administration, security monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, performance monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
The role requires strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, enterprise routers and switches, firewalls, network monitoring tools, and security operations. The position works closely with network engineers, IT teams, and business users to maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing network services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, Nexus switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Support Cisco ACI/APIC, Cisco Prime, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, and related technologies.
- Configure and troubleshoot ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security events.
- Perform network troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, NetScout nGenius, OpenNMS, Cisco Prime, SCOM, and Elastic Search.
- Support enterprise security monitoring and assist with identifying and resolving security issues.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain network hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and configuration issues.
- Work with IT and network teams to investigate and resolve complex network incidents.
- Monitor and maintain VPNs, network devices, servers, and related infrastructure.
- Assist with network changes, upgrades, installations, and infrastructure projects.
- Document network configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and technical solutions.
- Provide technical support and communicate network issues to users, management, and IT teams.
- Assist with developing technical documentation and user instructions.
- Support a 24/7 enterprise environment, including after-hours and rotating shifts.

- Network troubleshooting and packet analysis using Wireshark.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as:

- Elastic Search
- CACTI
- Dynatrace
- IBM Tivoli
- vROPS
- SecureWorks
Experience working with:
- Windows Servers
- Linux Servers
- IBM Mainframe z/OS
- Enterprise network infrastructure
- Large-scale network devices and systems
- 5+ years of broad networking experience and knowledge of common networking protocols.
- 3+ years of recent experience as a Network Systems Administrator or similar role.
- 2+ years of recent experience in a security monitoring role.
- 3+ years of experience with large-scale enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and Nexus switches.
- 2+ years of experience with enterprise-level network monitoring and management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for education.
