Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 + 10% Bonus
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certinia Platform Administrator to serve as the subject matter expert and strategic owner of our Certinia environment. This individual will be responsible for the daily administration, configuration, optimization, enhancement, and long-term roadmap of the Certinia platform while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, HR, Professional Services, and IT leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong technical administration skills, business process expertise, and cross-functional collaboration experience to ensure the platform supports business objectives, operational efficiency, reporting, compliance, and scalable growth.
This role will serve as the primary owner for Certinia administration, system configuration, reporting, integrations, user support, data management, and continuous platform improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Certinia Administration & Platform Ownership
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Certinia platform.
- Manage day-to-day system administration, user provisioning, role-based security, permissions, workflows, and platform governance.
- Maintain system health, functionality, data integrity, and overall platform performance.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements.
Business Process Optimization
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Professional Services, Operations, and Leadership teams to understand business requirements and translate them into Certinia solutions.
- Evaluate and optimize existing workflows, approvals, and system configurations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, visibility, and scalability.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business processes.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Management
- Develop, modify, and maintain Certinia reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Support executive reporting and KPI visibility across the organization.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across the platform.
- Partner with business leaders to create meaningful operational and financial reporting solutions.
- Support Power BI and other enterprise reporting integrations as needed.
User Support & Training
- Provide expert-level support to Certinia users across all business functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop training materials, user documentation, and best practices.
- Conduct onboarding and ongoing user training programs.
Integrations & System Enhancement
- Manage integrations between Certinia, Salesforce, HRIS, financial systems, data platforms, and other enterprise applications.
- Partner with internal and external technology teams to implement new functionality.
- Support data migrations, system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Evaluate and recommend platform improvements aligned with business strategy.
Governance, Compliance & Security
- Maintain appropriate controls and governance processes within Certinia.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Manage security roles, access controls, and segregation of duties.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Certinia support and consulting partners.
- Manage vendor relationships and support escalations.
- Evaluate system enhancements, releases, and roadmap opportunities.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for platform-related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on Certinia (FinancialForce) administration experience.
- Experience supporting Certinia PSA, Financial Management, Accounting, Billing, Revenue Recognition, or related modules.
- Experience administering Salesforce-based business applications.
- Strong understanding of financial and operational business processes.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
- Experience supporting integrations with business applications and enterprise platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Certinia (FinancialForce) certifications.
- Experience with PSA (Professional Services Automation) environments.
- Experience supporting ERP, project accounting, professional services, or consulting organizations.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Experience with Salesforce Flow, Process Automation, and platform configuration.
- Experience supporting financial audits and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with third-party implementation partners and software vendors.
Success in This Role
Within the first 12 months, this individual will:
- Become the primary Certinia platform expert for the organization.
- Improve system usability, reporting capabilities, and user adoption.
- Streamline financial and operational workflows.
- Enhance platform governance, security, and data quality.
- Build a roadmap for future Certinia enhancements and optimization initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted partner to Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.
