JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the expansion of our operations in Luxembourg, we are seeking a Business Analyst with strong knowledge around the framework MIFID II and experience in IT environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing the business needs of banking and insurance clients and defining functional and non-functional requirements.
Knowledge of MiFID regulations in the banking sector (capturing client profiles, suitability/appropriateness analysis, controls for entering stock market orders, client reporting)
Contribute to process modeling, map user journeys, and propose operational optimizations.
Draft detailed functional specifications and use cases in collaboration with the product, IT, and compliance teams.
Monitor development progress (prioritization, functional acceptance testing, validation of deliverables) and coordinate user acceptance testing phases.
Participate in design workshops, acceptance reviews, and steering committees with client and internal stakeholders
Develop performance indicators, produce reports, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
YOUR PROFILE
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, or information systems and have at least 6 to 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial sector (retail banking, private banking, asset management, insurance, or fintech).
You have a solid understanding of financial products and processes, a strong grasp of regulatory requirements, and proven experience in writing specifications and conducting acceptance testing.
Required skills:
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in modeling methods (BPMN, UML), requirements management tools, and version control.
Experience with Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and project management practices.
Fluency in French and English required; proficiency in other European languages is a plus (Luxembourgish, German).
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to facilitate workshops, and bring together technical and business stakeholders.
