Senior Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Technical BA/PM – Consultant

Introduction:

Our client, Credit Risk Technology is seeking a seasoned Senior Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Technical Business Analyst / PM to support stability, enhancement, and continuous improvement of technology platforms serving Exposure Management (EM), Credit Risk Reporting (CRR), Risk Analytics (RA), Front Office, and Regulatory Reporting functions. This role partners closely with business users, technology teams, and support functions to translate CCR business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, improve operating processes, and help deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient support for exposure calculation, limit monitoring, and what-if pre-trade analysis platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with EM, CRR, RA, Front Office, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for EM applications.
• Act as a key liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure CCR priorities are accurately understood, implemented, and supported.
• Drive hands-on root cause analysis for costly incidents and ensure recurring issues are eliminated through permanent fixes.
• Analyze current-state CCR workflows, incident patterns, data reconciliations, and operational processes to identify opportunities for process simplification and improvement.
• Identify opportunities for automation and self-healing processes for batch monitoring, data validation, reconciliations, and recovery processes.
• Work with onshore and offshore technology and support teams to ensure smooth execution of BA deliverables across projects and support initiatives.
• Ensure EM applications meet regulatory, audit, security, and internal risk management requirements.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or System Business Analyst within financial services technology.
• Strong experience supporting risk, exposure management, or related front-office / risk technology applications.
• Demonstrated experience working across business stakeholders, development teams, QA, and production support teams in a regulated environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Technical & Domain Expertise:

• Strong understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk and Exposure Management concepts.
• Experience working with batch and intraday risk platforms, data flows, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
• Ability to work with technical teams on SQL, data analysis, interface mapping, ETL workflows, and downstream/upstream system dependencies.
• Experience creating Business Requirements Documents (BRD), functional specifications, process flows, test cases, and data mapping artifacts.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL, ServiceNow, and reporting or analytics tools.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, testing lifecycle, and change management processes.
