Job Description

Configuration Management Analyst | Scott Air Force Base, IL, United States | On-site | $50,700.00 - $91,650.00

We're hiring on behalf of a leading defense, intelligence, and technology company that supports critical communication infrastructure for a major government agency. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact network operations and security during a significant digital modernization initiative.

The Role

  • Maintain the configuration management plan, outlining processes, standards, and tools for managing configurations across a diverse DoD network.
  • Support the change management process by evaluating and implementing changes to configuration items (CIs) such as servers, routers, and circuit data.
  • Ensure all CIs are accurately labeled and identified within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Track and analyze change requests (CRs) in a ServiceNow environment, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Conduct periodic audits of CIs to verify conformity with established baselines and standards.
  • Monitor the progress of approved changes to ensure correct implementation.

What You'll Need

  • A current and active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • 1-3 years of direct experience in Configuration Management or a related IT field.
  • Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and prior experience with an ITSM tool, preferably ServiceNow.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
