Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Location: South of England<br />Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Overtime We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist technical business, covering customer sites across the South of England.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced service engineer with a background in X-ray screening, security inspection or associated detection equipment to join a growing field-based engineering team.

Key Responsibilities Install, commission, service and maintain X-ray screening equipment.<br />Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.<br />Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.<br />Respond to customer breakdowns and provide effective technical support.<br />Complete equipment testing and calibration where required.<br />Provide customers with technical advice and guidance.<br />Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records.<br />Liaise with internal technical teams to resolve complex faults.<br />Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant Health &amp; Safety procedures.<br />Travel extensively throughout the South of England, with occasional overnight stays.The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer.<br />Direct experience working with X-ray screening equipment is essential.<br />Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills.<br />Mechanical troubleshooting experience.<br />Experience working independently at customer sites.<br />Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.<br />Strong customer-facing and communication skills.<br />Full UK driving licence.<br />Flexibility to travel throughout the South and stay away when required.
