Full-time, Permanent Alecto Recruitment is recruiting for a growing specialist engineering business looking for a Mobile Hydraulics / HIAB Engineer to join its team.

With over 30 years' industry experience, the company specialises in the maintenance, repair and aftersales support of truck-mounted hydraulic equipment, including HIAB cranes, lorry loaders, truck-mounted forklifts, hook loaders and skip loaders.

This role would suit an experienced HIAB Engineer, Lorry Loader Engineer, Crane Engineer, Mobile Crane Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Hydraulic Fitter, Truck-Mounted Crane Engineer, Crane Technician, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, Access Engineer or Agricultural Engineer looking to develop their career within a specialist hydraulic environment.

What's on offer? £37,000 - £40,000 basic<br />OTE circa £65,000<br />Overtime paid at 1.5x<br />Monday to Friday<br />28 days holiday including Bank Holidays<br />Full manufacturer training<br />Product-specific training and ongoing development<br />Career progression to Senior Engineer<br />Hotel and food provided for manufacturer training<br />Full-time, permanent positionThe Role Working across the South East, you'll visit customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, LOLER inspections and breakdown repairs on truck-mounted hydraulic and lifting equipment.

You'll work on:

HIAB cranes / HIAB loaders<br />Lorry loaders / loader cranes<br />Truck-mounted cranes<br />Hydraulic loader cranes<br />Moffett / truck-mounted forklifts<br />Hook loaders<br />Skip loaders<br />Roll-on roll-off equipment<br />Recovery bodies<br />Hydraulic attachments and ancillary equipmentYour duties will include:

Servicing, maintenance and repairs<br />LOLER inspections and overload testing<br />Hydraulic fault finding and hose repairs<br />Electrical and pneumatic fault finding<br />Emergency breakdown assistance<br />Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues<br />Completing service paperwork and reports<br />Providing technical support and advice to customersAbout You You'll ideally have experience working on HIABs, lorry loaders, cranes, forklifts, plant, access equipment, agricultural machinery or similar mobile equipment.

Essential: Mechanical engineering experience<br />Good understanding of hydraulic systems<br />Electrical fault-finding knowledge<br />Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills<br />Ability to work independently<br />Good customer service and communication skillsDesirable:

HIAB / lorry loader experience<br />LOLER inspection experience<br />Crane maintenance experience<br />Welding experience<br />Commercial vehicle experience<br />Full UK driving licence<br />Full Training ProvidedYou don't need previous experience on every type of truck-mounted equipment.
