Why This Role Stands Out
This IT Operations Manager role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead critical technology operations within a mission-driven company making a real impact in children's healthcare, with a competitive salary of $120,000. You'll thrive here if you excel at managing vendor relationships and junior staff, coordinating efforts across teams, and ensuring seamless IT operations for a growing organization. Apply today to shape the technological backbone of Frontera's innovative approach to behavioral health!
Quick Overview
Job Description
Frontera is reimagining how children with autism and other behavioral health needs get the care they deserve. We bring together world-class clinicians, technologists, and autism specialists to build cutting-edge AI tools that help care teams work smarter and spend more time with the children and families who need them most.
Our platform is HIPAA-compliant and designed for the real-world needs of behavioral health teams - from psychologists to ABA therapists. By combining evidence-based care with powerful technology, we’re expanding access to high-quality services for families everywhere.
Our Mission
Frontera exists to close the care gap: every child, no matter where they live, should be able to access effective behavioral healthcare.
Role Overview
Frontera is hiring an IT Operations Manager to run day-to-day IT operations across our business and clinical teams. This is a management role, not a hands-on technical seat: you'll own an outsourced MSP relationship and junior IT staff, not the tickets and infrastructure work itself.
We need someone who can be the coordinating layer across vendors, staff, and stakeholders - communication and project management matter here as much as technical depth.
What You'll Own
- Manage an outsourced MSP relationship and junior IT staff, overseeing their work rather than personally fielding tickets day to day
- Support IT operations across multiple company sites, keeping standards and service consistent wherever the business operates
- Oversee infrastructure basics (hardware, software, networks) at an operational level, holding vendors and staff accountable for reliability and uptime
- Manage core enterprise applications (Google Workspace, CRM, CentralReach, etc.) and keep them running smoothly day to day
- Ensure end-user support runs smoothly through your team or vendor, stepping in on escalations rather than being first line
- Oversee laptop and device provisioning for clinic and staff use
- Lead IT operational projects — rollouts, vendor transitions, site setups — on time and within budget
- Build working relationships across business and clinical teams, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences alike
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of IT operations experience, including managing an outsourced MSP relationship or vendor + junior staff — not just personally working the ticket queue
- Experience operating IT across more than one company site or location, with a clear approach to keeping standards consistent across them
- Track record of leading IT projects (rollouts, vendor transitions, migrations) end to end, on time and on budget
- Comfortable managing outcomes through a vendor or team rather than doing the technical work yourself
Preferred
- Has supported IT at a company shipping both hardware and software
- Healthcare or another regulated-industry environment
- Startup or fast-growth company experience, where you had to build process without much existing infrastructure
We have determined a salary range for this position that takes into account several factors including experience, knowledge, education, skills, and abilities. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline and the exact salary will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to the factors listed above. All full-time employee benefits include a stake in shared success through stock options, health benefits, 401(k) plan, and 4 weeks of PTO per year.
Why Frontera?
- Opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in pediatric healthcare.
- Work on challenging and impactful projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies.
- Collaborate with a talented and passionate team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Make a real difference in the lives of children and families in rural communities.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Dog-friendly office.
- Catered lunch from local Denver restaurants five days a week, plus occasional breakfasts and dinners.
- Robust snack program and great coffee options (including cappuccino machine and cold brew cans).
- Regular team events and low-key socials.
- Up to $150/month commuter stipend, discounted nearby parking, and a discounted Colorado Athletic Club membership.
- Thoughtfully designed space for focus, collaboration, and connection.
- Competitive health benefits, stock options, 401(k), and generous PTO.
