Job Description

Job Number 9444 Standard Job Description Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.

Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems. Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an experienced full-time Systems Integration & Test Engineer for the Production Operations organization. This position will support a new IRAD program at the System Integration Lab (SIL). The SIL is a one of a kind electrical test lab utilized for system electrical and functional testing. This position will be responsible for acting as an Electrical Test Engineer.

This entails operating Electrial Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) to command the System and collect key data. Additionally, this position will support the Lead Certified Test Conductor (CTC) with the execution of all testing in the MIL. This position will include becoming an official CTC.

Basic Qualifications * *

  • BS in Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college
  • Experience in Space Vehicle/Missile Integration and Test including Electrical, EMC/EMI, or Environmental.
  • Experience in Test Plan development and spacecraft/missile operations and test.
  • Experience in communicating and briefing program management.
  • Possess strong, demonstrated leadership and the ability to work with personnel from diverse backgrounds and disciplines both internal and external to the organization.
  • Must have an Active Secret security clearance

Desired Skills * *

  • Experience in System Level Testing.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence, DOORS, Cameo, and Microsoft Suite 365.
  • Possess strong, demonstrated leadership and the ability to work with personnel from diverse backgrounds and disciplines both internal and external to the organization.
  • Experience in communicating and briefing program management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to understand a complex issue and recommend/take corrective action.
  • Test Engineer and/or Certified Test Conductor

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
