Job Description
Job Title: Application Systems Analyst / Programmer (Business Intelligence / Tableau Administrator)
Location: Hybrid – 505 Hudson Street, Hartford, CT 06106 (80% Remote / 20% In-Person; Must attend office 1 day/week & attend at least 1 in-person interview)
Duration: 12+ Months
Project & Role Overview
Mid-to-Senior level BI/Tableau Administrator needed to support mission-critical child welfare applications (CTKIND & IV-E CCWIS), serving over 2,000 social workers and case managers. Responsible for platform administration, incident management, troubleshooting, user support, system monitoring, and performance reliability across enterprise reporting and analytics services.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Tableau Administration: Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
- Platform Monitoring: Track platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs; troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and report errors.
- Database & Integrations: Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments; monitor query performance, data refresh processes, and perform data validation.
- Data Pipelines: Monitor Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce data into Azure SQL; troubleshoot data load failures and root-cause issues.
- Integration Support: Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations impacting reporting platforms.
- SDLC &Governance: Deploy and promote reports across environments, establish best practices with Salesforce Architects, maintain technical documentation, and mentor team members.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Core Skills:
- Tableau Cloud administration and enterprise reporting platform support.
- Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, design decisions, and declarative logic.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on Azure SQL Database (or similar relational DB) experience.
- Comprehensive user management (roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules).
- Exceptional abstract thinking, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) experience.
- MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) or MuleSoft integration experience.
- Microsoft Azure experience.
