RF Communications Engineer - Atlantic City, NJ (Onsite) - 15+ Years

We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Communications Engineer to support a large Aviation Client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RF communications systems, VHF/UHF radio technologies, system integration, networking, VoIP, testing, troubleshooting, and Test & Evaluation activities.

Required Skills

15+ years of experience in RF and communications engineering.

Experience with communications equipment configuration, integration, system testing, and troubleshooting.

Strong understanding of RF systems, RF measurements, and RF test equipment.

Hands-on experience with analog and digital VHF/UHF radio systems.

Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, RF components, and RF performance characteristics.

Experience with communications protocols including TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-422, ATM, SONET, GPIB, ISDN, and Frame Relay.

Experience with multiplexing technologies including TDM, TDMA, CDMA, and CSMA.

Router and switch configuration, maintenance, and network troubleshooting.

Experience with VoIP technologies and protocols such as SIP, MGoogle Cloud Platform, and RTP.

Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, VRTMs, and test reports.

Test automation experience using computer-controlled test equipment.

Knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP models.

Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Experience performing site surveys and communications facility installations.

Preferred Skills

Aviation communications systems experience.

LabVIEW/TestStand experience.

Microwave radio systems.

Satellite communication systems.

Network simulators, traffic generators, and protocol analyzers.

Software development experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Linux, RTOS, or embedded systems.

PCB design and fabrication.

EUROCAE ED-137 and VoIP testing tools experience.

Experience supervising technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, integrate, test, and troubleshoot RF communication systems.

Perform RF measurements, data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Develop test documentation including test plans, procedures, VRTMs, and reports.

Support demonstrations, testbed operations, and requirements verification.

Conduct communication site surveys and installation activities.

Configure and maintain communication networks, routers, and switches.

Support VoIP, voice/data communication systems, and interface requirements.

Prepare technical documentation and status reports.

Support configuration management, system interfaces, and requirements analysis.
