Position Overview
As an Associate Attorney, you will manage an individual caseload under the guidance and mentorship of senior attorneys. This role offers substantial courtroom exposure and the opportunity to gain experience in litigation, motion practice, legal research, and client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee assigned caseloads with attorney supervision.
Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and court appearances.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Travel to courts throughout the region as required.
While prior litigation experience is preferred, we welcome applications from recent law school graduates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
Experience litigating matters in Ohio state courts.
Licensed to practice in Kentucky and/or Indiana.
Admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
Bankruptcy court experience.
Prior experience in creditors' rights, collections, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or related litigation.
Work Environment
Due to client security and data privacy requirements, this position is fully in-office.
