Infrastructure Cable Technician
Location: Pensacola, Florida (Onsite)
Role Overview
This position coordinates, monitors, administers, and services technical environments. The role involves completing implementations, performing integration activities, and providing operational support for technical environments. The work schedule is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange materials and equipment.
• Review and verify service orders, drawings, specifications, requirements, and installation instructions.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber-optic cabling, including CAT5, CAT6, and low-voltage cable.
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Install and support network infrastructure components, including routers, hubs, switches, racks, and ladder racks.
• Install access-control systems, surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and related devices.
• Select and verify cable pathways and conduct site surveys.
• Assist with designing, developing, and implementing cabling standards and specifications.
• Oversee cabling projects performed by third-party contractors.
• Maintain documentation related to the cabling infrastructure.
• Install cable-support systems and pull network cabling through approved pathways.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic cable installations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience performing cable-infrastructure installation services is required. Experience of one to five years is considered, with a preference for over two years. Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems in enterprise environments is necessary.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with BICSI standards, cabling standards, and related certifications is required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
