GIS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure GIS solutions for defense and aerospace programs
• Develop and optimize geospatial data models, ETL workflows, and map services
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise IT and data management systems
• Implement geospatial analytics to support mission planning and situational awareness
• Ensure compliance with defense industry security and data standards
• Collaborate with AI, data, and cloud teams to enable advanced geospatial analytics
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and data quality issues in GIS environments
• Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standards
• Partner with stakeholders to translate mission needs into GIS technical solutions
