PMP Certified IT Project Manager with Healthcare & Government Domain Exp; || G.C / U.S.C

Tallahassee, FL (Hybrid, 3 Days/Week) 

 

Face-to-Face Interviews: Since this position must be reported to the office 3 days a week, in-person interviews are required.

### Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee complex initiatives within healthcare and public sector environments. The ideal candidate will leverage structured project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery, collaborating with diverse partners and ensuring projects remain on track, on time, and within budget.

### Core Duties:
- Develop and execute robust project plans, defining milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all aspects of project scheduling, communication protocols, risk management, issue tracking, and the achievement of key objectives.
- Deliver timely, detailed progress updates to departmental leadership and contract managers.
- Facilitate and drive project team meetings, ensuring active participation and clear action items for both internal teams and external collaborators.
- Prepare, document, and circulate meeting summaries promptly to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Assess and report on the pipeline of potential and ongoing initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders to refine project scope, set measurable goals, and resolve ambiguities.
- Track key procurement activities, ensuring timely preparation and submission of all necessary documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors for contract negotiation, purchase orders, and agreement approvals.
- Supervise all contract progress and maintain documentation from drafting through execution.
- Provide ongoing status updates, resolve project roadblocks, support operations, and offer decisive leadership as required.
- Ensure all work is compliant with current data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.

### Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- PMP certification or equivalent recognized project management certification/training.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience leading technology projects.
- At least 4 years'' direct experience managing cross-functional IT teams and delivering multi-technology solutions.
- Expertise in coordinating projects that span multiple business units or technical domains.
- Mastery in project status tracking, stakeholder communications, project documentation, and problem resolution.
- Exceptional communicator with proven leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with public sector officials, technical experts, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

### Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing IT projects in large-scale healthcare or government settings.
- Prior experience working with well-known consultancies, technology providers, or government agencies.
- Advanced understanding of procurement processes and contract management in regulated environments.
- Additional certifications such as Agile, Scrum Master, or ITIL are a plus.
