W2 Technical Project Manager

Location: Remote but need to be within an hour drive of LAX (airport)
Duration: Contract 6 months.

Rate- $80/hr on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead multiple large-scale, customer-facing infrastructure projects in a Professional Services/Managed Services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project delivery, financial management, stakeholder communication, and risk management experience, with a proven track record supporting Global Financial Services clients. This role requires managing complex, multi-workstream projects while ensuring successful delivery, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large, complex, customer-facing technical projects with multiple workstreams.
• Create detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with dependencies and critical path analysis.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and financial reports.
• Track project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, utilization, and overall financial performance.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and scope changes.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and customers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
• Drive continuous process improvements using project management best practices.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical teams throughout project execution.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with delivery methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager.
• Experience in a Professional Services or Managed Services environment (Mandatory).
• Proven experience leading external customer-facing projects.
• Experience supporting Global Financial Services clients.
• Strong experience managing infrastructure projects involving: Networking, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, Security, Unified Communications.
• Experience managing multi-site deployments (Wireless, Wi-Fi, POS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, profitability, and forecasting.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with project risk management, change management, and resource planning.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with enterprise project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or CAPM Certification.
• Experience with Clarity PPM.
• Experience with strategic planning and people management.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and project profitability analysis.
