Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with specialized expertise in Robot Framework to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites to ensure the highest quality standards for our software applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA engineers to embed automation across our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Framework Development: Design, scale, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Python.

Test Scripting: Translate complex manual test cases, acceptance criteria, and user stories into clean, reusable keyword-driven and data-driven automated test scripts.

API & UI Validation: Automate tests at various layers of the architecture, including Web UIs (using SeleniumLibrary or Browser/Playwright Library), RESTful APIs (using RequestsLibrary), and backend databases.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) for seamless nightly and pull-request verification.

Defect Analysis & Reporting: Monitor automated test execution results, debug flaky tests, triage failures, and log highly detailed defect reports in tools like Jira.

Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify automation candidates and mentor manual testers transitioning toward an automation-focused track.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software test automation, with at least 1–2 years dedicated to Robot Framework.

Coding Proficiency: Strong programming foundation in Python (writing custom Python libraries and keywords to extend Robot Framework's built-in capabilities).

Web Automation: Proven hands-on experience using SeleniumLibrary, Appium, or the modern Playwright-backed Browser Library.

API Testing: Experience testing microservices and API endpoints with JSON and XML payloads.

Tooling & Environment: Strong proficiency with Git version control, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Linux/Unix command-line interfaces.

Methodology: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum development cycles, QA methodologies, and testing types (Regression, Integration, Sanity, and Smoke testing).
