Eka Robotics

Our team consists of pioneers in robotics and machine learning. We are now hiring to scale our R&D effort. We are looking for hands-on individuals who are excited to help shape the future of robotics.
We are seeking an experienced embedded engineer to help build an advanced, integrated manipulation system.
Responsibilities
Lead electrical engineering efforts for custom robots, including:
System architecture for communications and power electronics
Firmware development
Prototyping, iteration and testing
Design custom power electronics, including motor controllers, battery management systems and power distribution.
Integrate sensing and cameras
Oversee PCBA bringup, validation, and troubleshooting
Architect, design, and implement software solutions for high performance and reliable embedded systems
Qualifications
BS, MS, or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in bringing robotic or consumer products to market
Proficient in C, C++, and Python programming
Strong background in power electronics design and debugging
Experience in firmware development, debugging, and testing for microcontrollers
Advanced knowledge of embedded RTOS, concurrency primitives, and bare-metal concepts such as ISRs
Deep familiarity with common bus protocols, including I2C, UART, SPI, etc.
Nice to haves:
Motor drive experience / BLDC drives
Motor communications over a bus system such as CAN, Ethercat or Ethernet
Battery powered robot experience
EMC / EMI
