Job Title: Senior OSI Product Test Lead / QA Lead (OSIsoft PI System)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior OSI Product Test Lead with 10+ years of software testing experience and strong expertise in OSIsoft PI System (OSI products). The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end testing initiatives, drive testing strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise industrial data management solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep knowledge of the OSIsoft PI ecosystem, software testing best practices, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for OSIsoft PI System implementations and enhancements.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.
• Execute and oversee Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Coordinate testing activities across development, business, and infrastructure teams.
• Manage defect lifecycle, including defect logging, prioritization, tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Validate data flow across PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, and downstream applications.
• Ensure testing coverage for new releases, upgrades, enhancements, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide testing status reports, risk assessments, and quality metrics to project leadership.
• Mentor QA team members and drive testing best practices across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI System testing.
• Deep understanding of OSIsoft PI Architecture, including:
  • PI Data Archive
  • PI Asset Framework (AF)
  • PI Interfaces
  • PI Connectors
  • PI Vision (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies including:
  • Functional Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • System Testing
  • End-to-End Testing
• Experience preparing:
  • Test Strategy
  • Test Plan
  • Test Scenarios
  • Test Cases
  • Test Execution Reports
• Expertise in defect management and root cause analysis.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as:
  • Jira
  • Azure DevOps
  • HP ALM / Quality Center
  • qTest
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to lead onsite testing teams and manage multiple testing workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, or Oil & Gas domains.
• Experience validating historian data, time-series data, and industrial control system integrations.
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of SCADA, OPC, or industrial data acquisition systems is preferred.
