WorkDay Payroll Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Payroll during implementation and deployment activities.
• Lead payroll testing efforts, including system integration testing (SIT), end-to-end testing, regression testing, parallel payroll testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate payroll configurations, earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and execute detailed test scripts, document results, and manage defect resolution with technical and business teams.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and implementation partners to ensure successful payroll processing and system readiness.
• Support data validation, payroll reconciliations, cutover activities, and go-live readiness.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and payroll best practices within Workday.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday Payroll experience with multiple full-cycle Workday implementations.
• Deep expertise in Workday Payroll configuration, testing methodologies, and payroll operations.
• Proven experience leading payroll testing activities for enterprise Workday deployments.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax processing, earnings and deductions, and payroll integrations.
• Experience with Workday reporting, troubleshooting, and defect management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
