Gift Processing & Finance Specialist to support fundraising and financial operations for a compassionate, community-focused organization serving Central Oregon.

Every donation processed, every account reconciled, and every report completed helps support programs that provide hope, stability, and opportunity to those who need it most.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Process and record charitable contributions, including checks, online gifts, recurring donations, event contributions, and in-kind gifts
Prepare and process bank deposits and ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions
Reconcile donations, deposits, and financial records while researching and resolving discrepancies
Maintain accurate donor, gift, and financial databases
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial policies
Coordinate donor designations and gift allocations with internal stakeholders
Prepare donor acknowledgments, thank-you letters, and year-end contribution documentation
Generate reports related to donations, fundraising efforts, reconciliations, and financial activity
Assist with fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and special projects
Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as assigned
Preferred Schedule
We are flexible but ideally looking for someone who can work:
Monday through Friday, approximately 4 hours per day in the mornings, or
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday if a 3-day schedule is preferred

Experience & Software Skills
1-3 years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, finance, gift processing, accounts payable/accounts receivable, or a related field preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Experience reconciling financial transactions and researching discrepancies
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Coursework, training, or education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
Frequent computer, data entry, and phone use
Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
Ability to perform work in a standard office environment
