Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise AML data platform. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, production-focused environment and can independently drive solutions from concept through implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Own the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a large portfolio of enterprise data pipeline jobs spanning ingestion, transformation, and downstream data delivery processes.

Troubleshoot complex production issues, lead recovery efforts, and coordinate activities across ETL, DBA, infrastructure, scheduling, and source-system teams.

Develop and optimize complex T-SQL solutions, including stored procedures, performance tuning, data validation routines, reconciliation processes, and operational controls.

Design and implement proactive monitoring, data quality controls, and automated recovery mechanisms to improve platform reliability.

Analyze source-system changes, assess downstream impacts, and lead implementation of data integration enhancements across hundreds of interconnected data assets.

Serve as a technical SME for data lineage, data models, audit frameworks, batch processing, and operational workflows.

 

Required Qualifications

 

8+ years of data engineering, ETL, or enterprise data warehouse experience.

Advanced expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, stored procedures, and relational database design.

Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining a large portfolio of production data pipelines within a complex enterprise environment.

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with the ability to rapidly resolve production incidents.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while taking full ownership of outcomes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business, operations, and technical stakeholders.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.

Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing teams without relying solely on formal authority.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with AWS, Redshift, ETL frameworks, scheduling platforms, and enterprise data integration technologies.

Financial services, risk, compliance, AML, or regulatory reporting experience.

Prior experience acting as a technical lead in a mission-critical, time-sensitive production environment.
