Role: SimCorp GAIN Platform Engineer / SME

Domain: Investment / Asset Management
Level: Senior / SME

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced SimCorp GAIN Platform Engineer / SME to support a major Investment Platform transformation initiative.

The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on experience with SimCorp GAIN Studio, particularly troubleshooting, modifying, and optimizing GAIN workflows. This individual will work closely with internal engineering teams and SimCorp Professional Services to quickly identify and resolve platform and workflow issues.

This is a hands-on technical position requiring strong SimCorp GAIN, C#/.NET, and Security Master domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on engineering and SME support for the SimCorp GAIN platform.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, modify, and fix GAIN Studio workflows.
  • Identify workflow issues and provide solutions within accelerated timelines.
  • Develop and modify GAIN workflows using C# and .NET.
  • Support Investment Platform changes, enhancements, integrations, and production issues.
  • Troubleshoot data flows and issues involving Security Master attributes and reference data.
  • Work closely with SimCorp Professional Services and internal engineering teams.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions for recurring platform/workflow issues.
  • Support testing, implementation, deployment, and post-production validation of GAIN changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to the broader platform team.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

Recruiters should not submit candidates without strong hands-on SimCorp GAIN experience.

  • SimCorp GAIN Studio – deep hands-on experience is mandatory
  • GAIN workflow development, troubleshooting and modification
  • Security Master domain experience – mandatory
  • Strong hands-on C# / C-Sharp
  • Strong .NET development experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills
  • Experience supporting complex investment/platform environments
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues under tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams and vendor professional services

Good to Have

  • Asset Management / Investment Management domain experience
  • Understanding of Security Master, reference data, securities/instruments and associated attributes
  • Experience with Security Master interfaces and downstream/upstream integrations
  • Investment platform transformation or modernization experience
  • Experience working directly with SimCorp Professional Services
