Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer / Application Modernization Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, and microservices and a proven ability to design, modernize, secure, and support enterprise platforms in hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.


• Design and support REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.


• Build and enhance workflow orchestration and Control Panel applications.


• Lead Java, Tomcat, Python, and framework upgrade initiatives.


• Support FOSS remediation, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.


• Develop and support SFTP integrations, messaging solutions, and batch-processing frameworks.


• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve application performance.


• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.


• Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools to accelerate development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and modernization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong full stack development experience.


• Java 11/17+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate/ORM, JUnit, Tomcat.


• Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.


• Python development and automation experience.


• REST APIs and microservices architecture.


• Oracle/SQL development and performance tuning.


• Linux/Unix administration and application deployment.


• SFTP integration and enterprise messaging technologies.


• Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.


• OAuth and secure application development practices.


• Experience with FOSS remediation, software upgrades, and vulnerability management.


• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

AI-Assisted Development (Required):

• Experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar AI development tools.


• Ability to use AI for impact analysis, dependency assessment, code generation, unit test creation, test automation, remediation analysis, upgrade planning, troubleshooting, and documentation.


• Ability to validate AI-generated outputs to meet security, compliance, quality, and architectural standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Redis.


• OpenShift or Kubernetes.


• Hadoop or Spark.


• Cloud-native architecture.


• Financial services or treasury technology experience.


• Event-driven and distributed systems.
