Job Description

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst - Equity Plan Administration

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst with 8-15 years of experience and strong domain expertise in Equity Plan Administration (EPA), Stock Plan Administration, Record Keeping, and Employee Equity Compensation.

The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex equity compensation requirements into functional solutions while supporting financial reporting, regulatory reporting, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for Equity Plan Administration and Record Keeping.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support solution design, requirements walkthroughs, testing, validation, and implementation.
  • Analyze business processes related to employee equity compensation and stock plans.
  • Support financial and regulatory reporting requirements related to equity compensation.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with technology teams working with Oracle, Azure, and modern UI-based applications.
  • Identify business and technical gaps and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with offshore/global delivery teams and external vendors.
  • Participate in solution reviews, stakeholder meetings, and project status discussions.
  • Support transformation and modernization initiatives involving equity administration platforms.
  • Prepare business and functional documentation and maintain requirements traceability.

  • Stock Options
  • ESPP - Employee Stock Purchase Plans
  • Employee equity compensation
  • Equity plan accounting
  • ASC 718
  • IFRS 2
  • Equity compensation reporting
  • Stock plan record keeping

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
  • Experience supporting large financial institutions or wealth-management organizations.
  • Experience with global delivery models and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and offshore development teams.
  • Experience with large-scale transformation or modernization programs.
  • Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 8-15 years of overall experience
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience in Equity Plan Administration / Stock Plan Administration / Employee Equity Compensation is highly important.
