Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking an experienced remote Employee Relations Specialist to support employee relations initiatives and workplace issue resolution within a large enterprise environment. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, conducting investigations, providing policy guidance, managing employee relations cases, and supporting compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience handling complex employee matters, and the ability to balance business objectives with employee needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and investigate complex employee relations cases, partnering with managers and stakeholders to develop appropriate resolutions
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, and other sensitive employment matters
  • Coordinate responses to legal and regulatory inquiries, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and within established timelines
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
  • Support the development and enhancement of employee relations policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring employee relations issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal business leaders to build effective partnerships and support organizational goals
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, meetings, communications, and related documentation
  • Analyze employee data and trends to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements
  • Prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and supporting documentation for leadership review
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and applicable legal requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace culture, employee experience, and operational effectiveness
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of employee relations, human resources, or workplace investigations experience
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases independently
  • Strong understanding of employment practices, workplace policies, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct investigations, analyze findings, and present recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience preparing reports and managing confidential employee information
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus
  • Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed organizations
  • Knowledge of employee relations best practices and workplace compliance requirements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
