Mainframe Developer – Cloud Migration

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM, along with experience in mainframe modernization and cloud migration. The candidate will support migrating legacy applications and data to cloud platforms while ensuring system performance, data integrity, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

• Support mainframe migration, modernization, and integration with cloud platforms.

• Analyze legacy applications and dependencies for cloud migration readiness.

• Assist with application rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and data migration.

• Perform testing, data validation, debugging, and post-migration support.

• Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

• Experience with IBM mainframe environments and batch processing.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Understanding of mainframe modernization and cloud migration strategies.

• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, data integration, and application testing.

• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices is an advantage.

Preferred: Experience with AWS Mainframe Modernization, CICS, Control-M, and migration automation tools.
