Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)

Project Overview:
Seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to manage statewide enterprise and agency-level IT initiatives within the Division of Technology Operations. The role will coordinate projects with the Department of Administration PMO, Information Security, Privacy Office, state agencies, and private-sector partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage IT projects from initiation through completion using established PM methodologies.
• Track project schedules, deliverables, resources, budgets, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, state agencies, PMO, and external project managers.
• Prepare regular status reports and management updates.
• Manage project closeout, lessons learned, and documentation archiving.
• Lead and influence stakeholders while effectively communicating complex projects.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize activities to meet project goals.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Project Management experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PMI/PMBOK project management principles and methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with financial planning and budgeting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor''s degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, Liberal Arts, or related field.
• PMI training or PMP certification required.
