Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, regulatory requirements, stakeholder management, and SDLC methodologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with vendors, technical teams, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business needs into detailed functional requirements and effective technology solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support technical contract development and regulatory processes by collaborating with vendors and technical stakeholders to assess project requirements, evaluate regulatory impacts, and ensure compliance.
• Lead small technical projects by applying Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, tools, and technologies to manage development activities.
• Support budget analysis and management reporting activities.
• Analyze complex business processes across multiple departments and translate intricate business requirements into comprehensive functional features.
• Analyze and determine regulatory impacts and requirements associated with projects.
• Facilitate highly effective requirements-gathering workshops with diverse stakeholder groups to build consensus and ensure all business needs are captured.
• Apply appropriate Agile and system development methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage detailed requirements traceability to ensure all business needs are addressed in the final solution.
• Collaborate closely with vendors, contractors, developers, and architects to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of complex business requirements.
• Present system functionality and enhancements to business stakeholders through effective demonstrations, presentations, and visual aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: 4-year degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

• Required: 5+ years of related experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in technical requirements gathering.

• Ability to influence solution design within a project team.
• Ability to work independently on moderately complex initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of business processes across one or more functional domains.
• Knowledge of data concepts relevant to business systems analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to assess system impacts and downstream effects of business and technical changes.
• Strong skills in facilitating requirements workshops and working sessions.
• Experience with stakeholder communication management, including planning, implementing, monitoring, and revising communication strategies and channels.
• Knowledge of requirements management, including:

  • Stakeholder communication
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, development tools, and technologies.
