Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to drive business requirements, product vision, stakeholder collaboration, and end-to-end delivery of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, Product Ownership, requirements management, functional testing, regression testing, UAT, and test case development.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, QA teams, and project leadership to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and ensure solutions meet business and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Product Owner / Senior Business Analyst, representing business and user needs throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, priorities, and backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, process analysis, and gap analysis.
• Create detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases.
• Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and clearly defined acceptance criteria for development and QA teams.
• Prioritize product backlog based on business value, customer needs, dependencies, and project objectives.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develop and execute functional test cases and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional testing to validate application functionality against approved requirements.
• Perform regression testing following application enhancements, bug fixes, and new releases.
• Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users and stakeholders.
• Create UAT plans, test scenarios, test cases, and expected results.
• Coordinate UAT execution, track defects, validate fixes, and obtain business sign-off.
• Review test results and ensure identified defects are properly documented, prioritized, and resolved.
• Perform requirements traceability to ensure business requirements are covered by development and testing activities.
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure adequate test coverage and alignment between requirements and test cases.
• Validate completed features against acceptance criteria and determine whether stories are ready for production.
• Analyze production issues and support root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve functional and product-related issues.
• Prepare status reports, product documentation, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
• Support implementation, deployment, and post-production validation activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
• Strong experience working as a Product Owner within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software product development.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and management.
• Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications.
• Experience with functional testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Strong knowledge of test case and test scenario creation and execution.
• Experience coordinating UAT with business users and stakeholders.
• Experience with defect management, validation, and resolution tracking.
• Strong understanding of requirements traceability and test coverage.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical and functional specifications.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and analytical skills.
• Experience working closely with developers, QA teams, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
