Job Description

The Role

The Integrations Architect is responsible for designing, building, and supporting system integrations that connect customer platforms with internal systems. This role focuses on EDI, APIs, and event-driven integrations across WMS, TMS, ERP, and customer applications. This role is critical to enabling customer onboarding, automation, visibility, and self-service capabilities.
You will guide our transformation from fragmentation to a single-pane-of-glass integration architecture.
You will set the architectural standards and own the guardrails for the foundation which every integration project builds upon.

This is both a hands-on technical role and a practice-building leadership position.
You will report to the Director of Customer Technology Solutions.

What You Will Own

We are embarking on a multi-year modernization effort running alongside live operations.
In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI, API, and file-based integrations with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Build and support integration across WMS, TMS, ERP, and data platforms.
  • Develop reusable integration patterns, templates, and onboarding accelerators.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues and exceptions.
  • Support self-service reprocessing, error handling, and audit traceability.
  • Collaborate with product, portal, and API teams to enable end-to-end workflows.
  • Document integration specifications, data mappings, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in customer onboarding, testing, and go-live support.
  • Ensure integrations meet security, compliance, and reliability standards.

Technical Environment

  • IBMi, Azure, and OCI multi-region infrastructure
  • GitHub Actions for CI/CD
  • NodeJS, Python, NextJS, and React
  • IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
  • DB2, MSSQL, PostgreSQL
  • AS2, SFTP, and API integration with external systems

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the qualifications below.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration, EDI, or middleware development
  • Strong experience with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and B2B workflows
  • Hands-on experience building REST APIs and consuming third-party APIs.
  • Experience with message transformation, data mapping, and validation
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms or middleware solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Firsthand experience with API management platforms such as Azure API Management (APIM), Apigee, or MuleSoft
  • Experience working with enterprise B2B/EDI platforms such as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Cleo, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing integrations in Azure-based environments.
  • Familiarity with secure B2B connectivity patterns (certificates, OAuth, tokens, IP allowlisting)
  • Experience in Logistics, Supply chain, or 3PL environments

What Success Looks Like

  • Faster customer onboarding and integration timelines
  • Reduced manual processing and support tickets.
  • Reliable, scalable integrations that support customer self-service.
  • Clear documentation and reusable integration components
  • End-to-end visibility for all integration pipelines for faster triage, troubleshooting, and operational dashboards
Why This Role Is Different
This Integration Architect role is different because it goes beyond designing interfaces—you'll define integration strategy and standards for a complex, national logistics platform while working hands on across both modern, API driven cloud architectures and critical legacy systems . The role operates at the center of a multi year transformation , shaping how internal platforms and external partners reliably connect at scale, with direct impact on live, mission critical operations
