Submarine Systems Engineer | Kittery, ME, United States | Hybrid | $55,800 - $111,500
This employer is a leading provider of engineering and technical services, supporting critical national security missions. They are seeking a talented Submarine Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the operational excellence of US Navy submarines.
The Role
- Develop and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs) for submarine maintenance.
- Assist with deficiency forms and prepare cost estimates for project budgeting.
- Perform complex engineering analyses (mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure system integrity.
- Evaluate components, materials, and systems for integration, compatibility, and stability.
- Support US Navy Submarine, Submersible, or Deep Submergence projects.
- Travel up to 10% within the Continental US may be required.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Ocean Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University.
- Professional engineering experience with complex calculations (e.g., heat transfer, fluid flow, stress analysis).
- Experience with configuration management and document control.
- Proven ability to manage work effectively in a time-sensitive operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
