Desktop Support Engineer

Position Details

• Role: Desktop Support Specialist (Expert)
• Location: Rocky Mount, NC
• Work Arrangement: Onsite
• Interview Process: Webcam Interview or In-Person

Key Responsibilities & Important Skills

• Hardware & Software Setup: Install, image, and configure new computers, software, local/network printers, and peripherals.
• Data Migration: Execute smooth user data and profile migrations during computer refreshes.
• Service Desk & Incident Management: Manage and resolve technical incident tickets using ServiceNow.
• Enterprise Infrastructure & Access: Collaborate with teams to assist with user directory/account management (Active Directory, NCID, Citrix, Email), file servers, and network reservations.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex hardware, software, peripheral, and network communication issues.
• Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain standard operating procedures and technical processes.
• Project Leadership: Lead technical projects, guide team efforts, and report project status to management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in desktop support, technical field activities, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• 7+ years of experience imaging computers, migrating user data, and configuring network printers.
• 7+ years of experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Strong written documentation and project coordination skills.
