Entry Level Accounting Specialist (Finance)

Job Description
Merritt Contracting is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team! Our company includes both concrete and civil construction divisions
, providing quality construction services throughout the Lebanon and Indianapolis Metro areas. We typically bid and perform work within approximately a 60-mile radius of our Lebanon office
. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Accounting Specialist to join our office team. This is a
Monday–Friday, in-office position at our Lebanon, Indiana location
.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Enter and maintain accounting records accurately
Assist with billings and customer accounts
Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end processes
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding accounting questions
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
