Job Title: Cloud Engineer – AWS Infrastructure & Migration

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and enterprise cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large-scale Data Center Exit programs, migrating enterprise applications from on-premises environments to AWS, and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.

The Cloud Engineer will work closely with cloud architects, database administrators, application development teams, middleware teams, and infrastructure operations to support AWS infrastructure buildout, application migration, connectivity validation, and post-migration support.

Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, operating systems, networking, databases, and application connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, provision, configure, and support AWS infrastructure for enterprise application migration initiatives.

• Build and manage AWS EC2 environments to support migrated enterprise applications.

• Configure and maintain AWS networking components, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, load balancers, and Route 53.

• Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, network access controls, and encryption.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning and automation.

• Troubleshoot Terraform deployment failures, infrastructure drift, state management issues, and performance-related challenges.

• Collaborate with application teams to validate infrastructure readiness, connectivity, availability, and performance.

• Support database migration initiatives involving Oracle 19c, Oracle Exadata on AWS, and SQL Server.

• Assist with middleware connectivity and integration validation, particularly for applications dependent on TIBCO ESB.

• Support enterprise applications built on Java and .NET platforms.

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.

• Support hybrid cloud connectivity and networking during phased data center migration programs.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues during migration, cutover, and hypercare phases.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS-native services.

• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks for production handover.

Required Technical Skills

AWS Cloud Infrastructure

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, ALB/NLB, Route 53, and AWS storage services.

• Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, connectivity, and infrastructure architecture.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AWS environments.

Infrastructure as Code / Automation

• Hands-on experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning.

• Experience troubleshooting Terraform failures, infrastructure drift, and state management.

• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and infrastructure automation.

Cloud Migration

• Experience supporting on-premises to AWS cloud migration projects.

• Understanding of Data Center Exit programs and enterprise application migration.

• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and migration cutover activities.

• Exposure to AWS migration tools and automation frameworks.

Operating Systems

• Hands-on administration of Windows Server 2016–2025.

• Strong Linux administration experience, particularly RHEL 7, RHEL 8, and RHEL 9.

Database & Middleware

• Working knowledge of Oracle Database 19c.

• Exposure to Oracle Exadata on AWS.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

• Understanding of TIBCO ESB and enterprise middleware integrations.

Application Support

• Experience supporting enterprise applications built using Java and .NET technologies.

• Ability to troubleshoot application connectivity and infrastructure dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in large-scale enterprise Data Center Exit or cloud migration programs.

• Experience working with cloud architects and cross-functional infrastructure teams.

• Understanding of cloud performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise migration environment.
