Position: Business Development Manager - Capital Equipment
Location: UK wide with potential EU Travel
Salary: From 45,000 + Car Allowance + Sales Bonus (OTE 100k)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote with occasional travel to office

Bennett & Game Recruitment are working with a specialist packaging & manufacturing machinery business looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to drive new equipment sales across the UK and Ireland.

This is a new business-focused role, targeting growth sectors including food, beverage, and home and personal care manufacturing. You will identify new opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers and provide tailored machinery solutions to customers.

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target manufacturing sectors.
• Build relationships with prospective customers and decision-makers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable machinery solutions.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact through to closing.
• Work with technical teams and equipment suppliers to develop proposals.
• Achieve sales targets and maintain accurate sales records.

Business Development Manager Requirements

• Experience in B2B sales or business development.
• Background in capital equipment, packaging machinery, automation or technical products.
• Proven ability to win new business.
• Strong communication, negotiation and commercial skills.
• Technical aptitude and a proactive approach.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Candidates from related machinery or engineering sectors with strong new business experience are encouraged to apply.

Business Development Manager Package

• Salary from 45,000 minimum, depending on experience.
• Car allowance and sales bonus with an OTE of 100k once established.
• Up to 15% employer pension contribution.
