Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid: 8 hrs/day, Tues–Thurs in-office)

Max Bill Rate: $56.00-65.00/hr

Role Overview

The Auto Sales Application IT Tester is responsible for leading quality assurance activities across Auto business applications and technology platforms. This position ensures software solutions meet functional, integration, performance, security, and business requirements before deployment to production. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, application development teams, solution architects, project managers, vendors, and operations teams to support large-scale modernization initiatives, cloud-based solutions, customer-facing applications, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance Leadership: Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects and releases; develop test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts; define testing scope, entry/exit criteria, quality metrics, and QA best practices.
• Functional & Integration Testing: Execute SIT, Regression Testing, UAT support, and E2E testing across business workflows, calculations, APIs, databases, interfaces, and third-party integrations.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution; facilitate triage sessions and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Test Automation: Design and implement automated testing frameworks and regression suites; integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using AI-assisted testing techniques.
• Performance & Security Testing: Coordinate performance, load, stress, and scalability testing; support security validation, penetration testing, and compliance initiatives.
• Reporting & Governance: Provide status reports, quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentoring & Continuous Improvement: Coach junior testers and QA analysts; evaluate emerging QA tools and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, API, Database, and Performance testing; experience with ALM/Quality Center (or equivalent), Jira, SQL, and API tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Business & Soft Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios; excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• QA Certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or equivalent).
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and automation frameworks.
• Experience supporting cloud modernization and legacy system replacement initiatives.
• Knowledge of automotive services is a plus.
