Role Overview
- Seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Developer (6–9 years) to design, build, and support enterprise PeopleSoft solutions and integrations.
- You will deliver high-quality code, estimates, documentation, and production support while working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
- The role spans PeopleSoft development, integration engineering, and Java/Spring microservices with occasional on-call participation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, unit test, and document PeopleSoft customizations, bolt-ons, and enhancements.
- Build and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and SaaS/on‑prem COTS applications using Integration Broker, REST/SOAP, Component Interfaces, and APIs.
- Develop and support batch processes using PeopleSoft Application Engine/SQR and Java (including mainframe batch where applicable).
- Create microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA; handle JSON/XML payloads.
- Write efficient SQL for large, multi-table datasets; optimize queries and performance.
- Leverage PeopleSoft features: PeopleCode, BI Publisher, Component Interfaces, Queries, Trees, Fluid UI.
- Perform code walkthroughs/reviews; produce effort estimates; contribute to release planning.
- Provide L3 production support and participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
- Use Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices; work with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes as part of deployment patterns.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams; communicate progress and risks clearly.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of application development, including significant hands-on PeopleSoft development.
- Strong expertise in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, Component Interfaces, PeopleSoft Queries, Trees, Fluid, and SQR.
- 7+ years working with SQL on large, complex datasets; proven performance tuning skills.
- Production experience integrating PeopleSoft with SaaS and on-prem applications (REST/JSON/XML).
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot (microservices), REST services, JPA, JUnit, JavaScript, and XML.
- Experience with Java batch and exposure to mainframe batch processing.
- Linux proficiency and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with containers (Docker), Kubernetes, microservices patterns, and Git/GitHub workflows.
- Experience with job scheduling tools (AutoSys preferred).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and/or Scaled Agile (SAFe).
- Strong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and clear written/verbal communication with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions/Jenkins), code quality and testing tools (e.g., SonarQube), and automated testing beyond unit tests.
- Observability/monitoring experience (e.g., Splunk/ELK), API management/gateways.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for containerized workloads.
- Experience conducting formal code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
- Upgrade and PUM experience and PeopleSoft performance tuning.
