This employer is a leading specialist trade merchant in the UK and Ireland, known for putting people and customers at the heart of their operations and offering excellent career development opportunities. They are looking for a dedicated Sales Assistant to join their Pipe and Climate Centre team.

The Role

• Serve customers at the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries via phone and email, with a proactive attitude.
• Proactively contact customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, focusing on those with reduced or inactive spending.
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away.
• Ensure high standards are maintained within the branch.

What You'll Need

• Previous face-to-face customer service or sales experience is essential.
• Prior industry or trade experience would be ideal.
• A team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and take on a diverse role.
• Comfort with lifting heavy items.
• A keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
