Hiring: Lead Software Engineer - Retail Team
Location: West Los Angeles, CA

Expected Work Mode: This position is classified as structured hybrid, requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days (office is in West Los Angeles). On-site expectations may evolve over time to support business needs, with clear communication provided in advance. (The role will start remotely until the LA office location is identified later this year, after which the resource will be onsite 2-3 days a week)

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to design and build scalable, secure, and resilient payment processing platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical leader with a strong FinTech, Financial Services, or Banking background who enjoys building cloud-native backend systems and mentoring engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience with 2+ years in a Technical Lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core
• Azure Cloud (preferred), Kubernetes, and Microservices architecture
• RESTful APIs, OAuth2, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus
• CI/CD and DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
• Monitoring & Observability: Datadog, Prometheus
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.)
• Secure coding practices, PCI DSS/SOC 2, Agile, and JIRA

What You'll Do:

• Lead backend development, platform engineering, and system integrations
• Drive CI/CD, cloud reliability, and observability initiatives
• Mentor engineers and champion engineering best practices
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions
