Systems Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks a Systems Engineer to support Defense & Aerospace programs within our IT & Cybersecurity team. You will design, implement, and secure mission-critical systems for federal customers, integrating cybersecurity best practices and NIST RMF controls. Responsibilities include systems architecture, network and cloud integration, performance optimization, and incident response support. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and secure mission-critical IT systems and networks for defense and federal clients.
• Integrate cybersecurity controls into systems architecture using NIST RMF and related frameworks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and harden systems to meet performance, availability, and compliance goals.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, software, and network teams to deliver resilient solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
