Engineering Manager We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Engineering business in the Newry area to recruit an Engineering Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to take ownership of the engineering function within a growing organisation that designs and manufactures specialist equipment for the agricultural and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, oversee new product development, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure engineering projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. A strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential, while experience within the agricultural machinery sector would be highly advantageous. The Role Lead and manage the Engineering Department, providing technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team. Oversee the design, development and delivery of new and existing products. Drive continuous improvement, innovation and cost reduction initiatives across engineering and manufacturing operations. Take ownership of engineering project planning, resource allocation and project delivery. Provide technical expertise on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Work closely with production, operations and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are achieved. Support product testing, validation and problem-solving activities. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements and health & safety regulations. Essential Criteria Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Previous experience in an Engineering Manager, Lead Engineer or Design Manager position. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience within agricultural machinery, mobile equipment, trailers or related manufacturing sectors is highly desirable. Proven leadership and people management skills. Strong project management and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
